Hand Applique - Thinking about Ribbon

I really do like hand work in spite of the fact I like machine stitching too. Here I'm playing around with ribbon as the stems. 1/2" Purple for the stem and green for the leaves, all top stitched with matching embroidery thread.  Note: The circle is appliques with a top stitch too.
