I think that if you need to ask the question 'is it enough?' The answer is always NO! Here is a great example of that idea.

I made a purse...it really needs to be decorated.

4 layers of nylon net, cut 4 & 6" wide

layer one on top of the other, long stitch down the middle

pull gathers to desired length

pin ruffle on to purse
