Embellishments

Spirits Having A Human Experience

This quilt was made by Denise Austin of Orem, Utah. She says "Thanks in part for your enthusiasm and inspiration I was awarded the blue ribbon for the best use of embellishment on a Traditional Quilt at the Pacific International Quilt Festival in Santa Clara California!"
It is embellished with Swarovski crystals, llama and sheep wool for the people’s hair, outline embroidery, and various types of beads.

This such a beautiful quilt. Is there a pattern available? ALSO, is there a story behind the quilt. Love, love, love it. Louise

Yes there is a pattern. It is in the Quilt! Quilt!! Quilt!!!, 2nd edition book. It was certainly a fun pattern to make. Someday I may want to make an original but for right now there's so many patterns all done that I want to do. This is the 1st one I have put my own spin on. Baby steps.
