I make quilts to decorate them.

Thread may have once been considered just a basic necessity of sewing, but happily it’s now available in so many luscious colors and types that it has become sheer pleasure to use. The design options inherent in thread have opened new doors to quilters and fabric artists of all levels of experience. You owe it to yourself to explore some of the possibilities.
To embellish successfully, I need to have a plan in mind. Here the green sash is the trellis and the couching threads represent the vines winding around it

Chatty Blossom: Cotton, rayon, metallic threads, and lots of couching all add to this quilt’s lushness.
