Embellishments

Spirits Having A Human Experience

This quilt was made by Denise Austin of Orem, Utah. She says "Thanks in part for your enthusiasm and inspiration I was awarded the blue ribbon for the best use of embellishment on a Traditional Quilt at the Pacific International Quilt Festival in Santa Clara California!"
It is embellished with Swarovski crystals, llama and sheep wool for the people’s hair, outline embroidery, and various types of beads.

$22,000 in Prizes Are Up For Grabs in Quilt Block Design Challenge.
Entries are due November 15th.
Design a quilt block using EQ6 software for Sharon Pederson's Rose of Sharon EQ6 Block Challenge hosted by The Electric Quilt Company.
Twelve winning designs, selected by Alex Anderson and Ricky Tims, will win prizes from: Accuquilt, Bernina, Electric Quilt, Island Batik, Legacy Batting (Pellon), Nine Patch Media, OESD, The Quilt Show, and That Patchwork Place.
Enter as many blocks as you like. There is no entry fee, however a voluntary donation to the Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative is suggested.
