Stitching Through the Layers - the Details

(from Stitching Through the Layers)
Diagonals tend to convey the notion of energy and excitement which is just right for this striking quilt. Mary Haunani Cesar - Maker of Traditional & Contemporary Hawaiian Quilts

Last night was program night at my guild Evergreen Piecemakers of Kent WA. Mary Cesar presented Hawaiian Quilts. Talk about the thread that binds...her quilts were wonderful examples of what to do with thread, be it hand or machine worked.
