Invinate Variety ... more details

Red & White has been a classic color scheme since the early nineteenth century. The popularity of this color combination can be traced to the color fastness of Turkey red.

The largest number of quilts on view are geometric pieced patterns. The variety of designs, and their names, were limited only by the quiltmakers' imaginations.

A digital guide to the exhibition, including images of all 650 quilts, is available as a free app for your iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, or Android smart phone. For more information and to download, visit folkartmuseum.org/infinitevariety.
