Carolina on my mind

I'll be at the Durham Orange Quilters with 3 workshops and a lecture March 17 - 19.

Saturday March 17 it will be Simple Surfaces
Learn all about applying paint sticks and foil to cotton or silk quilts and clothing. Come explore lots of different ways to creatively apply these fun and permanent mediums to your own projects in this casual, hands-on workshop.

Sunday March 18 A Fine Line
Bring your unfinished quilt top to show the class and we will brainstorm ideas on how you might stitch through the layers to maximize your project’s beauty with the creative use of the quilted line. Discover the elements of award-winning quilting designs and how to apply them to your tops.

Monday March 19 Super-fast Binding and Piping
Is binding the quilt your least favorite part? Bindings and piping are a snap with this no-fail completely machine-stitched method. In this class you will be making a sample to take home to keep as a ‘how to’ example for your own quilts. Binding will never be the same again!

The lecture Monday is Borders: The Final Chapter
