A New Spin on Drunkards Path - John Kubiniec

John Kubiniec's "A New Spin on Drunkard's Path" is an inspirational delight. The first half is bursting with information providing the reader with everything they need to know in order to create their very own version of a Drunkard's Path quilt design. I was very please to see that John included snippets about his own quilting journey and thoughs on design. As a quilter, I'm always fascinated by other quilter's artistic journeys. His Tool Talk is a helpful way for him to share the professional tips and tricks that he has picked up along the way and I appreciate his willingness to help other quilters gain insight into easier ways to make their beautiful quilts happen as painlessly as possible.

The last half is devoted to easy-to-follow patterns of Drunken Path quilts, along with a wide range of exceptionally interesting borders. Every quilt you make using this terrific book will be a unique creation, all your own!

Here's the schedule of blogs participating in the tour. Head to these sites each day for more info about the book and more giveaways!

I love blue in quilts but I do love a red and white quilt. Just made a 1910 red and white vortex. I really like this book. I can't wait to start making a few of the quilts in here.

Red is my favorite color, but dark red like burgundy. And I have no idea why it is my favorite--maybe because it makes quilts look antique.

Purple has always been a favourite colour and you will find it in many of my quilts

I love all shades of blue. They are so soothing and calming.

I love using any shade of green in my quilts and projects--maybe because I'm 1st generation Irish married to a Kerryman?

Purple is my favorite color. Purple combines the calm stability of blue and the fierce energy of red. The color purple is often associated with royalty, nobility, luxury, power, and ambition. Purple also represents meanings of wealth, extravagance, creativity, wisdom, dignity, grandeur, devotion, peace, pride, mystery, independence, and magic.

I am the Queen of my castle. The wealth of my creativity is expressed with fabric and thread in every quilt I display with pride.

I love all colors - I paint and grow flowers. But the color purple has been a favorite since I was a small child. I feel calm when I look at it, and I think it looks good with every other color. Thanks for the chance to win this inspiring book!

My favorite color has been YELLOW since I was a kid. It must have been the color of the life-giving sun that intrigued me.

How can I have just one favorite color? I love most colors & especially the way they interact with each other. Complementary, Analogous, Triad, Split Complementary--they're all wonderful!
If I have to choose one, I guess I'd say blue--it was my favorite as a child & I'm still pretty partial to it. Especially in the blue green range--Turquoise!

I'm a blue girl myself--from the robin's egg blue of a winter sky to the navy of just before night.

I am really interested in getting better with sewing curved pieces and would love this book! My favorite color has always been purple. It just makes me happy and confident. My sewing room and laundry room is painted in purple. If I'm the only one to use those rooms, it may as well make me happy!

My favorite color is aqua. I think I like it so much because it reminds me of blue/green sea glass. It's my favorite crayon out of the crayola box, its a calming color and it can go with lots of other colors. edrin1932 (at) gmail (dot) com Thanks for the chance and for joining the hop.

Green, I think because it's so versatile. The newness of spring, or the beauty of the sunlight on the leaves, or the serenity of a shaded path...

Orange is my favorite color. I gravitated to it after having red at the top of my list for ages. Maybe orange is mellower, so as I've aged, so has my taste in color? richreword at yahoo dot com
